I am a little off schedule after my four day break. Yesterday I had planned to do Plyometrics and a weights component later. But Plyo (o-m-g!), is crazy and I am still sore this morning. Today Cardio is on the agenda, followed by Back, Biceps and Abs. Not quite sure if I will have time to fit it all in before road tripping to Sydney this afternoon.
I am heading home for my birthday so another break… Although there will be birthday cake, I will be taking it easy
Looking at my exercise log, I knew that I had stopped logging my food for a while – but I realised that it has been two weeks Which I think is a major element of this weight loss business for me. 80% nutrition, 20% exercise. Not sure how many times I need to keep telling myself this(!)
Monday, I will officially be under the two week mark for New Zealand. Time to get back to 1200 calories. For the first eight days, I want to 100% strictly follow the p90x doubles routine – focusing on continuing to build muscle, while maintaining cardio. Then, the last four days before flying out, will be 100% cardio. Yep, going to get running again :S It’s been a while.
I am hoping with a couple of days practice, I will be happy to treadmill it while cruising. I will be satisfied with a gym session on six out of our 12 days
Excitement! Ok, I need to put my shoes on and do some exercise!

Due to the impending due date of my thesis, unfortunately I could not plan anything special for Mr. J’s birthday. I wanted to surprise him with a weekend away, but I couldn’t be sure if I would be done or not. So instead, I put a stop to all work, and devoted his entire birthday evening to him, with a dinner reservation.
Mr. J’s preference, is steak. That is all. So where do you go for the best steak in Canberra? Kingsley’s Steakhouse.
How do you like Mr. J’s arty photo taking skillz!
The food was amazing, as usual… We started with the cobb and garlic butter, a wine for me, beer for Mr. J. I had the 200g medium rare and Mr. J went all out for the angus. Mash for me, fries for him, and greenbeans on the side. We finished with a cheesecake. Nom Nom Nom.
Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the service. Started well enough, we were warned that there was a large booking, and there would be a 30minute wait… Fair enough, 60minutes later our steaks arrived. But no greens. Warning, rant ahead – A few minutes in, the waiter let us know it would be a few minutes. Half way through our meals, I asked the waitress not to worry. She returned saying they were ready, but will hold them. Another waitress, apparently accidentally serves them. Rather than waste the food, we try them. The initial waitress returns saying that they were served accidentally, but spoke to the manager – and how lucky we are – they will remove them from the bill. When the time comes, the bill arrives… with greens We just decide to pay, it’s $8 or something, so no biggie. But then we are given a second, amended bill.
Such a big fuss, over nothing.
Anyway, it was a lovely night
